J 18th January - New Students Enrollment Day @ (Law School)
The ILA will have a booth set up in the law basement for new member sign ups.

 
F 13th February - International Student Enrollment Day @ (Law School)
The ILA will have a booth set up in the law basement for new member sign ups.

20th February - O-Week Law Day @ (Law School)
Main ILA sign up day. Krispy Kreme's will be available to new members, as well as show bags.

27th February - Trivia Night @ (Law Basement)
ILA's annual trivia night (prizes to be won!) starting at 6 pm in the Law basement. Contact monashila@gmail.com to book your place, or turn up on the night. $2 for members, $5 for non-members.

 
M 3rd March - 2nd Hand Book Sale @ (ILA Office - Room 214 (2nd level, Law Building))
FREE LUNCH AND DRINKS along with an opportunity to buy and sell Law text books from and to other Law students. Turn up on the day with your books - starts at 12pm.

8th March - BBQ @ (Fawkner Park)
Come along for a free BBQ (for members) at Fawkner Park and meet the committee along with fellow members. Lunch served from 12pm onwards! Details and map here

18th March - Sub-Committee General Meeting @ (TBC - Check your emails)
The Monash ILA is looking for keen students to fill roles in sub-committees. Becoming a sub-committee member is a fantastic opportunity to participate in a leadership position, gain experience and meet new people. It is highly recommended that all interested students attend our General Meeting where we will discuss what is required of interested students.

 
A 5th April - ILA Bunnings Charity BBQ @ (Bunnings Notting Hill)
The ILA is having a charity BBQ at Bunnings Notting Hill. This is part of our community engagement program.

9th April - Skadden at Monash @ (H5, Menzies)
ILA are hosting representatives from Skadden's Hong Kong office at the Clayton campus -- When: Wednesday 9th Apr, 1pm to 2pm -- The firm is targeting those wanting to work in Hong Kong, but students do NOT require Chinese language skills. Students from all year levels are welcome. Lunch will be provided and there will be a chance to mingle with firm representatives after.

10th April - HK Law Fair @ (Level 1 Function Space, Melbourne Law School @ Melbourne University)
For those who registered interest in attending the Hong Kong Law Fair, below are a reminder of the details. Date: Thursday 10 April 2008 Time: 12 - 2 pm

12th April - Allen & Overy Information Session @ (Regus Business Meeting Places, Melbourne Rialto Towers, Level)
A&O are keen to meet law students who wish to apply for trainee solicitor/vacation positions in 2009 and to pursue their legal careers in Hong Kong. Chinese language skills are an advantage. The Hong Kong Graduate Recruitment Manager will be conducting an information session on the following -- When: 10:00am on Saturday, 12 April 2008

15th August - Deloitte Info Session/Mock Interviews @ (9-11.30am, L2)
In concert with SICC (Society for International Commerce and Computing), we are hosting Deloitte in their presentation regarding Deloitte's vacation program. Deloitte will also be conducting mock interviews.

 
S 1st September - Mahlab Info Session on Practising Law Overseas @ (L3, Building 12)
Free event for all law students! 1-2pm in L3 *** Interested in working in the Hong Kong, London or New York jurisdictions? This info session by one of the premier legal recruiters in Australia will provide all the info you need!

4th September - Elections Info Session @ (G08, Law Building)
If your interested in running for a committee position for 2009, this is a must attend.

11th September - Legal Careers Dinner 2008 @ (Melbourne Museum (11 Nicholson St, Carlton))

17th September - Women in Law & Politics Career Insights @ (L4, 5.50pm)
International womens' professional networking organisation 85 Broads is excited to now have a presence in Monash University. Its very first careers event, with support from the Monash International Law Association is 'Women in Law & Politics Career Insights'. This event features three guest speakers: Viv Benjamim - Head of Advocacy, Oaktree Foundation Colleen Hartland - Greens Victoria MP (Metropolitan Region) Christine Melis - Victorian Women Lawyers Convenor 2008 These speakers showcase the variety of careers you can pursue within Law & Politics, on a global level.
