LEGAL CAREERS DINNER 2008 (01st of August, 2008 - Joyi Li) The Legal Careers Dinner is an annual tradition of the Monash
International Law Association. Each year, we aim to bring students
together with prospective employers from multiple professions,
allowing you to gain a greater perspective on the career paths
available to a law graduate. Attendees include large/medium law firms,
banks, government organisations, members of the Victorian Bar,
accounting firms, etc.
This year the LCD will be held at Melbourne Museum, and looks set to
be an invaluable opportunity for ALL students - local, international,
undergraduate, postgraduate - to meet with potential employers. The
night will start with a pre-drinks/canapes allowing students the
opportunity to mingle with firms, and continue with a three-course
dinner, where students will be able to sit with firm representatives,
and gain a greater insight into various career opportunities. The
event will be held on the evening of the 11th of September.

A Law Faculty grant of up to $1500 is available plus a small stipend.

Herbert Smith London Internships (22nd of March, 2008 - Joyi Li) Herbert Smith is an international law firm that works with a range of top-flight clients from around the world on some of their largest and most high-profile transactions, disputes and projects.
The internship will run from Monday 24 November to Friday 19th December. During the programme you will undertake two rotations within different departments in the firm.
